Following a brief illness, Jim Beatty died peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday, June 4, 2012. He was in his 87th year. Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanore (nee Barber). He was the much loved father of Burton Beatty (Pam) of Carr and Julia Beatty (Brian Roberts) of Restoule. Grandpa will be forever loved by his grandchildren Billy James (B.J.) Smith (Kim), Lee Ann Humphrey (Kevin), Nicole Beatty (Kerry Siple), Tobey Henstridge (Jason), Robert Robitaille (Tina), Crystal Lefebvre (Denis) and great-grandchildren Cameron, Cory & Kyla Humphrey, Bradly Smith, Jaelan Henstridge, Paityn Robitaille and Charlie, Ava and Paige Lefebvre. Jim was predeceased by his parents Isabella (nee Clarke) and Robert Beatty and by his siblings Hugh, Preston (Edna), Harold (Jessie), Lawson Hodgins (Alan), Grace Weller (Walter), Harvey (Eva), Nancy McMahon (Tom), Mildred Smith (Ken), John (Ethel), Alice Jones (Casey/Wilbert), Iona Small (Matt) and Velma. The Beatty family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 8 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Nipissing Cemetery.
