Peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Center on January 20th, 2023, in her 84th year. Carol Ann was the beloved wife of the late Mickey Beattie and Ralph Hunt. She will be lovingly remembered by Mickey’s children, Lyall of Ottawa and Robert and his wife Justine of Barrie. Adored Nani to her grandchildren, Oliver and Meredith Beattie. Predeceased by her parents, Henry, and Alma (Berger) Hampel. Loving sister to Harold Hampel (Sally) and Donald Hampel (Sharon). Pre-deceased by siblings, Doreen Laronde, Raymond Hampel, June Generoux and Marlene Saari. Carol Ann was affectionally known as Cokie to many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Carol Ann worked for 30 years in the Payroll Department for the Nipissing Board of Education, followed by a role as a staffing clerk at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital where she made many wonderful friends before retiring in 2009. She loved spending time with her friends at the ONR Building where she lived for over 20 years. She was an avid card player, loved Bingo and was always up for a road trip to the Casino. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place with a Spring Interment at a date to follow in Arnstein.
