Posted

(Sept 22, 1939 – Jan. 24, 2012) Passed away peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre. Romeo leaves behind his loved wife, Barbara (nee Weiler). He was the proud father of Robert (Denise) of Mississauga, Paul of North Bay, Denis (Shawna) of North Bay and Carole of Callander. He loved his grandchildren Casey, Nick, Elisabeth, Griffin and Barrett. His favourite meal was to call as many grandchildren as he could for pancakes and bacon. He is survived by his brother Eddy of Temiskaming Quebec and his sister Lucile Way (Clare) of Kitchener. Romeo was predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Bertha (Desrosiers) and siblings Annette, Simone, Henry, Cecile and Ronald. Romeo spent most of his time in the garage repairing anything that came along but his main passion was his camp which he was always working on. Romeo worked for 30 years for Bernard Rochefort Ltd and was known as “The Culligan Man”. We would like to thank all those who cared for him in North Bay and Sudbury. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Whispering Pines Funeral Home (705) 724-9734. Visitation will be held Friday January 27, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Whispering Pines Callander Chapel 87 Lansdowne St. Callander. Service will be held Saturday at 11am in the Whispering Pines Callander Chapel.
