BALE, Edward John “Ted“

Died at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site, on Saturday June 2, 2007. Ted was the beloved husband of Judith Catharine “Judy“ McDonald, he was 70 years old. Loving father of Greg Bale (wife Lisa) of Barrie, Diane Bale of the Netherlands, Erin Bale (wife Maureen) of Lefroy, Lisa MacDuff (husband Steve) of Gravenhurst. And step- father of Rick Walsh of London, Sheila Lamothe (partner Dean Gallant) of North Bay, John Walsh (wife Leslie) of Sudbury, Pat Walsh of Calgary and Melissa Bourgeois of Paris, Ontario. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Marissa, Jordan, Cassidy, Kieran, B.J., Rayna, Brennan, Alexandra, Ashley, Whitney, Dylan, Tanner, Warren, Jessica, Sara and by his great grandson Hayden. Dearly loved brother of Bill Bale (wife Lea) of North Bay, Ruth Galinski (husband Peter) of Pembroke, Frank Bale (wife Brenda) of London, Bonnie Bale of Sault Ste. Marie and Bob Bale (wife Sue) of Sudbury. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Ted enjoyed his outdoor experiences in Northern Ontario and Quebec. When he was not at work for NIM or Laidlaw, he was either out with his team Dog sledding across this area or in Kipawa “Looking for that Big One“. He was one of the original organizers or the North Bay Winter Carnival, and was proud of his work with the group.



Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday from 2 -4 and 7 -9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Ted's ashes will be interred following the service in the North Bay Union Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or to Cerebral Palsy would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
