AUGER, Hermes

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Hermes Auger who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at North Bay General Hospital, McLaren Site on April 27, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. Hermes was the beloved husband of the late Irene (née Laporte) who passed away April 27, 1999. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Richard (Frances) of North Bay, Bill (Nellie) of Redbridge, Robert, André (George) of Toronto, Michel (Kim) and Claudette (Perry) of North Bay and his cherished grandchildren, Melissa, Shawn (Rhiannon), Matthew, Brittany and Benjamin. Hermes was the dear brother of Victor (Joanne), Cécile (Bernard), Gérard (Frieda), Sr. Marie Thérèse S.C.O., Maurice (Evelyn), Philippe (Shirley),Victoria (Brian), Emilie (Lionel), Armand, Délia (Robert), Arthur and Gabriel. Predeceased by his parents, Amanda and Philias.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Darlene Peters for her companionship during the past years.

As he begins his journey to heaven, we will always carry very fond memories of him in our hearts. Always there to lend a helping hand, whether it was for family or anyone that was in need. He was an avid golfer, a true friend and member of the North Bay Golf Club for many years. Also, with great pride, he was a very dedicated member of Les Chevaliers de Columb.

Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Paroisse St-Vincent- de-Paul, Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Northern Regional Cancer Centre would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
