Suddenly at North Bay General Hospital on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 Carol passed away at the age of 71 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Gord Atkinson who predeceased her in 1988. Dear father of June Jones (Barry) of Huntsville, and Gord and Joe Atkinson both of North Bay. Proud grandmother of Francine, Crystal, Tiffany, Travis, Amanda, Laura, Scott, Sonia, Devonna and five great- grandchildren. Carol is survived by her brothers and sisters Barbara Brown, Thelma Gough, Patrick (Julie), Terry (Donna), Peter (Carol), Maurice, Suzanne Stagg (Alfie), Robert (Linda), and Donna Tonks. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Friday, May 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, May 23rd at 2:00 pm. Cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium. If desired donations to the Northern Cancer Research would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
