It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Richard Atkinson, on February 9th, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Brian was predeceased by his parents James and Sylvia and his brother Alan.
Brian will be deeply missed by his three daughters Lisa (Stewart), Karen and Julie, his grandchildren Stephen, Michael, and Nicholas, as well as his close circle of dear friends.
Brian emigrated to Canada from England with his parents as a young adult. He settled in Bramalea and began working with Chinguacousy Township, later known as the Region of Peel.
Retiring after over 40 years of service, Brian settled in North Bay where he enjoyed his time working on his property and gardens, fishing, spending time at the lake with his dear friends and visiting his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring, details will be shared with family and friends closer to that time.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospital for Sick Children, Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
