Of South River. Peacefully at his residence on Sunday, May 11, 2008, in his 86th year. Allie Arnold, beloved husband of the late Velma Arnold (nee Windrim). Loving father of Steve Arnold (Dawn), Ron Arnold (Susan) and Perry Arnold (Brenda), all of South River. Cherished grandfather of Cara, Melody, Gregory, Brandon, Ryan, Chad, Cassandra and Riley. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Lillian (Bates ) Arnold, sisters Bertha, Betty and brother Lawrence. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his many friends in the area. Family will receive visitors at the Chalmers United Church, Ottawa Street, South River on Wednesday May 14, 2008 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. The members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #390 South River are asked to gather at the Chalmers United Church for a tribute service on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Allie Arnold will be conducted at the Chalmers United Church on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dennis Landry officiating. Interment at South River Cemetery, South River. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Chalmers United Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
