AQUINO, Palma (nee Tedesco)

Posted

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother at the age of 73 years on Wednesday, July 12, 2006. She leaves her loving husband Amedeo (Mario), children Algisa and Simon Lennie, John and Pauline Aquino and Roseanne and Brian Stitt, North Bay. Dearly loved and devoted nana of Nathan, Nathalie, Tyler, Justin and Joanna, who she spoiled with great love. Mom will be sadly missed by her sisters, Anna (Carmine) Perrotta, North Bay, Ada (Tony) Aquino, Mississauga and brother, Benito (Olinda) Tedesco of Italy, sister-in-law, Adelina (Francesco deceased) Tignanelli and brother-in-law, Emilio (Teresa deceased) Aquino, North Bay. Many nieces, nephews and friends, in Canada and Italy, will miss “Zia“. Predeceased by her parents, Attilio and Rosanna Tedesco and brother, Rodolfo (Ercolina surviving) Tedesco of Italy. Mom was an active member of the Davedi Club Ladies Auxiliary for 20 years and enjoyed the camaraderie with the ladies and treasured their friendships. Mom's life was, “family first“, and then she thought of herself. Our family chain has been broken; a link gone from the chain, but our lives are better because of her love, care and of the values she taught us. She will always be in our hearts and we will treasure each memory.

If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Convent of St. Anthony in Pietrafitta, Italy will be gratefully acknowledged by her family. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME Friday 2-4 & 7-10 P.M. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Rita's Church Saturday at 12 Noon.
