AQUINO, Amedeo (Mario)

Posted

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our father, at the age of 86 years, on Friday September 8, 2006. He was the beloved husband of the late Palma “Pam” (nee Tedesco – deceased July 12, 2006). He leaves his children Algisa and Simon Lennie, John and Pauline Aquino and Roseanne and Brian Stitt, North Bay. Dearly loved and devoted nonno of Nathan, Nathalie, Tyler, Justin and Joanna who he spoiled with great love and taught them the humour in life. Dad will be sadly missed by his brother, Emilio Aquino and sister, Adelina Tignanelli (surviving), North Bay. He will also be missed by sisters-in-law and brothers- in-law, Anna and Carmine Perrotta, North Bay, Ada and Antonio Aquino, Mississauga, Olinda and Benito Tedesco and Ercolina (Rodolfo – deceased), Italy. Many nieces, nephews and friends, in Canada and Italy, will miss “Zio” and his “clowning around”. Predeceased by his parents, Assunta and Antonio, Italy, sisters, Marietta Falsetta, Fiorina Aquino, and Angelina Cirullo, brothers, Francesco, Vincenzo, Luigi and Giovanni.

Dad enjoyed the many friendships he made during his years in the construction trade. He looked forward to working in his garden, tending his grape vines and going smelt fishing with Joe and Mariano. Like Mom, his “family” came first.

Our chain has once again been broken; two links now gone from the chain but our lives are better because of his love and guidance. He will always be in our hearts and we will treasure each memory.

If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Rita's Memorial Fund will be gratefully acknowledged by his family. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Rita's Church, Monday at 11 a.m. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery.
