Passed away on Thursday, December 23rd, 2010 at the North Bay General Hospital Scollard Site in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Alexander (nee Esdale). Loving father of Deborah Tremblay (Peter), and Gregory Alexander all of North Bay. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his grandsons David and Cameron Tremblay and Zachary Alexander. Predeceased by his parents William and Ruby Alexander formerly of Stittsville and brothers Lester and Omer. Larry retired from the Ministry of Transportation in 1982 as the Regional Manager of Administration in North Bay. He was a dedicated member of Calvin Presbyterian Church who sang in its choir and served on its Board of Managers as a member of Treasurer. He also served on the Kirk Session and remained Elder Emeritus. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, December 29th from 7-9p.m. Funeral service will be held in Calvin Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium. If desired, donations to the Calvin Presbyterian Church or Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
