WHL Roundup: Sim's shutout effort leads Pats to 3-0 victory over Raiders

REGINA — Drew Sim earned a shutout stopping all 22 shots he faced as the Regina Pats topped the Prince Albert Raiders 3-0 on Wednesday.

Easton Armstrong opened the scoring in the first period for Regina (5-4-0). Tanner Howe added another near the midway mark of the second before Tye Spencer netted the final score in the final frame.

Connor Bedard and Luke Bateman picked up one assist apiece in the win.

Tikhon Chaika made 27 saves in the loss for Prince Albert (2-5-2).

LETHBRIDGE, ALTA. — Owen Pederson scored a goal and added an assist as Winnipeg cruised past Lethbridge (3-4-0). Connor McClennon, Zach Benson and Conor Geekie also scored for Winnipeg (6-1-0).

WHEAT KINGS 2 COUGARS 1

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Brett Hyland knocked in the game-winning goal almost midway into the third period as Brandon (3-2-1) edged Prince George (3-4-0). Nate Danielson scored the other Wheat Kings goal while Carson Bjarnason saved 39-of-40 shots in the win.

VICTORIA — Matthew Hodson scored twice as Victoria (1-7-1) defeated Kelowna (3-3-1). Tanner Scott, Luke Shipley and Teague Patton also scored for the Royals who came back from a 2-1 deficit to win.

SILVERTIPS 6 OIL KINGS 2 

EVERETT, WA. — Olen Zellweger recorded a hat trick as Everett (5-1-0) downed Edmonton (1-6-1). Ryan Hofer added two goals of his own and Austin Roest also scored in the Silvertips win.

TIGERS 11 AMERICANS 3

KENNEWICK, WA. — Brayden Boehm and Shane Smith led the way with a hat trick apiece in Medicine Hat's (3-3-1) thrashing of Tri-City (2-4-0). Brendan Lee, Pavel Bocharov, Tyler MacKenzie, Dallon Melin and Cayden Lindstrom also scored for the Tigers in the lopsided victory.
