On December 7, at approximately 8:27 p.m. the OPP, West Nipissing Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a single vehicle, a Chevrolet Cruze.in the ditch on Highway 17 in West Nipissing.
Officers determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. She had minimal injuries and was not taken to hospital.
Angele Giroux, 30, from Sturgeon Falls, was arrested and charged with:
- Driving with Ability Impaired
- Driving with More than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood
Giroux was issued a 90-day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. She was released on a Promise to Appear.
