Athletes will join West Nipissing Police personnel in the annual walk from John and King Streets to Main Street, down to Front Street and back toward the starting point.

Walkers/runners will be collecting in buckets “loose change” from people as they parade the streets, donations going to Special Olympics locally.

"Policing has been a long time supporter of Special Olympics locally and the Torch Run is internationally renown as a fundraiser for Special Olympics," said Chief  Chuck Seguin.

"I invite the community to line the streets as police personnel and athletes walk together for this great cause.  We have numerous athletes who compete at the provincial, national and international level and we are very proud of them all."

This year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics will take place on Wednesday June 20th at 3 p.m.
