West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce set to honour achievements of local entrepreneurs

The impact of their presence is a key factor in what makes our community a great place to live.

The West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 4th biennial Business Excellence Awards will be held on March 25, 2017 at the Marcel Noël Hall in the Sturgeon Falls Complex. Chamber President Patrick Keough explained, “it is important to take the time to acknowledge the contributions that local businesses make to West Nipissing. The impact of their presence is a key factor in what makes our community a great place to live. The Chamber is honoured to once again host the Business Excellence Awards, an event that celebrates the achievements of local entrepreneurs.” Committee Chair, Nicole Tanguay, added “the Business Awards organizing committee has been tasked with coordinating a gala event that is focused on celebrating West Nipissing merchants and their dedication to entrepreneurship. This night is about engaging the business community and thanking them for the important work they complete to strengthen the local economy.” 2017 Business Excellence Award categories include: - New Business of the Year Award - People’s Choice Award - Looking Good Award - Aboriginal Business Award - Most Active and Outstanding Business of the Year Award (10 Employees or Less) - Most Active and Outstanding Business of the Year Award (Over 10 Employees) - Lifetime Achievement Award Nominations are currently open to the public with nomination forms available through the Chamber of Commerce website, office and local businesses (full list available on the Chamber website). Nominations will be accepted until February 1, 2017 at 5:00 pm. Winners in each category will be recognized on March 25, 2017 at the Business Excellence Awards gala. The evening includes a gourmet dinner, live music, draw for $1,000 West Nipissing Dollars and the awards ceremony. Tickets are on sale and priced at $100 per person for Chamber members and $125 for non-members, they may be reserved through the Chamber office. “We invite the community to participate in the nomination process and tell us who has been going above and beyond, who stands out and what sets that business apart.
