The Warriors of Hope is a team of breast cancer survivors who participate in dragon boat racing as an example of what people can accomplish after breast cancer.

"With the support of volunteers and associate members, this team of determined and energetic individuals has become a role model for cancer survivors, in not only North Bay, but also wherever they compete," says a news release. "The team celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019 and was recently honoured by the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame.

Last year, the team won gold at the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Warriors of Hope is looking for paddlers as well as board members (either breast cancer survivors or just associate members) for a two-year term. The Warriors of Hope holds charitable status and finds numerous ways to also give back to North Bay and surrounding communities.

The Warriors of Hope will be hosting its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, February 15 at 6 p.m. at 22 Wing Ayr Mess Hall (14 Duxford Road, Building 14). The public is welcome to attend.
