Truck torched

One person was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation;
2015 10 26 arson

Shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday October 25th, 2015, while on patrol, police found and put out a fire in the interior of a 2011 blue Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck that was parked on Norwood Avenue.

Now police want your help.

Anyone with information that may assist police in this arson investigation is asked to contact Constable Greg Randall at the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555. 

Meanwhile, over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 219 calls for service, and arrested and charged seven people with the following offences:

  • One person was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation;
  • One person was charged with impaired driving; driving over 80 and three counts of breach of recognizance;
  • One person was charged with one count of assault with a weapon; one count of assault; and one count of uttering threats;
  • One person was charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood and one count of possession of marijuana;
  • Two people were charged with public intoxication;
  • One person was charged with breach of recognizance.
