Transport caught going almost twice the limit through Latchford

This transport was caught going almost double the speed limit in the small town of Latchford

On December 19,  shortly after 4 p.m., a Temiskaming OPP officer was conducting pro-active patrols on Main Street in Latchford.

A southbound trans[prt approached the officer's location, travelling in excess of 100 kilometres per hour in a posted 60 km/h zone. 

The 23-year-old driver from Lasalle, Quebec is charged with "Race a motor vehicle - stunt" 

The vehicle was towed and impounded for 14 days. 

The driver was released by way of a Court Summons and is scheduled to appear at court on May 5, 2022, in Temiskaming Shores.

Aggressive driving, including speeding, is one of the leading causal factors in traffic deaths in OPP patrolled areas.
