The North Bay Museum reopens to the public today

'The museum will have a limited capacity and use timed entry to allow for physical distancing within the museum'

The North Bay Museum reopens to the public today (March 31)

"As we prepare to reopen we have once again set up guidelines to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers," says Naomi Hehn, Curator.

"The museum will have a limited capacity and use timed entry to allow for physical distancing within the museum. The museum will also have hand-sanitizing stations set up and one-way traffic through the museum. Surfaces will be cleaned regularly."

First floor washrooms will be open to one family at a time with regular disinfection. Plexiglass shields will be set up in the gift shop surrounding the till area, and face coverings are required.

"The North Bay Museum appreciates visitor’s patience as we adapt to these new times, and we look forward to welcoming visitors once again," added Hehn.

New temporary exhibits including North Bay Celebrates and profiles of local First and Second World soldiers will be on display. The North Bay Museum has also set up online exhibits and programs that visitors are welcome to access here and here.

The hours of operation are:

  • Wednesday-Friday 12 pm-5pm
  • Saturday 10 am-3 pm
