North Star Talent agent, Jim Calarco, is pleased to announce that his agency has joined forces with Lisa Burke (Lisa Burke Talent Management Inc.)
Lisa, an established Toronto Talent Agent will represent North Star Talent actors in the very competitive Toronto market. Her experience both as a former casting director and her present role as a talent agent will be of invaluable assistance to our northern actors who also wish to work in the southern Ontario film industry.
Previously, North Star Talent actors only auditioned for northern roles but now with Burke’s involvement they will have the ability to audition for a wide range of roles both in Film, TV and the lucrative commercial market.
“North Star Talent actors have been very successful in being cast in the north. In the past 10 months 37 roles have been awarded to North Star actors.” said Calarco. “However, now that Lisa has agreed to represent our local actors she will certainly open up the Toronto market to them. I am elated to see that northerners can now be represented by both a southern and northern talent agency and I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with someone as experienced and reputable as Lisa Burke.”
Having two agencies represent local actors does not mean that there will be an increase in commission fees .The industry standard of 15% on earnings will remain in effect.
