Northern Ontario Collectors are invited to attend the fifth Northeastern Antique, Collectible & Nostalgia Show at the North Bay Elks Club (325 Elks Lane, North Bay) on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The show is for collectors of small antiques, coins, stamps, militaria, automobile, paper and vintage collectibles, toys, comics, tokens, medals, old jewelry, old household items, tools and other nostalgic items.

Admission is $5 but is free for kids 12 and under.

“Our April show saw 450 people come through the doors. This is becoming a highly anticipated event for people from around Northern Ontario,” says Bill Alexander, one of the organizers of Northern Ontario’s only show of this kind. “At our last show, we had collectors from Sudbury, Timmins, Mattawa, Sturgeon Falls, Gravenhurst and many other towns and of course from North Bay. This show is really catching on, but then, the quality of the dealers and the outstanding collectibles they’ve been selling is what keeps people coming back,” added Alexander.

“Bill and I are avid collectors and history buffs,” adds Jeff Fournier, co-organizer for the show. “We’re really trying to promote local history and an appreciation for vintage and historical items,” he says.

The duo has committed to donating net profits from the show to The Dionne Quints Heritage Board who incorporated recently and will operate the Dionne Home once it’s moved to North Bay’s waterfront.

“The Dionne Quints Heritage Board will be setting up an informational table at the show. We’ll have dealers from around the North. There will be a food concession and tons of really cool collectibles”, says Fournier. “There will be something for everyone!”

The show organizers have sold out of the vendor tables and booths for the October 22nd show and have booked the Elks again for the Spring 2018 show on April 8th.

“We’d suggest that you let us know soon if you are interested in renting a table for the spring 2018 show. They won’t last long,” says Alexander. “It appears we are filling a void here in Northern Ontario – for both dealers and collectors, who otherwise would have to travel to the south to attend a similar show.

The Northeastern Antique Collectible and Nostalgia Show is Sunday, October 22nd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the North Bay Elks Club.
