When an OPP officer heard a woman squealing her tires in Parry Sound last week, he decided to investigate.

It was just after midnight when the officer saw a person operating a motor vehicle in a way that caused the tires to squeal and lose traction with the pavement.

The driver, Cynthia Battle, 42, from Parry Sound was charged with "driving motor vehicle – perform stunt – cause tire to lose traction."

The next afternoon on Highway 69 an officer saw a car passing other motor vehicles and traveling more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit.

The driver, Bruce Beamer, 47, from Toronto was charged with "Stunt Driving – Excessive Speed greater than 50km/hr. over the speed limit."
