Fri. April 21- 10:30am-12noon- Butter Tart Competition at Powassan and District Union Public Library. $50 first prize. Another prize if your butter tart uses maple syrup as an ingredient. Drop off your 1 dozen butter tarts by noon. Judging at 4 pm. All welcome!
Fri. April 21- 11:30-1pm- Lunch and Learn at Powassan and District Union Public Library with guest speaker Mayor Leo Jobin, from Chisholm Township.
Sat. April 22- 10:30am-3:30pm- Maple Syrup Festival Activities at Powassan and District Union Public Library. We'll be selling lots of buttertarts, as well as homemade items from the Friends of the Library. At Scotiabank, on Main Street, we will be selling "Maple Taffy on Ice."
Mon. April 24- 5pm- League of Canadian Poets at Powassan and District Union Public Library. Chisholm's poet laureate, Peggy Smith, will be attending along with our own Library poet laureate, Peggy Ludlow. Bring your poetry to share. Light snacks. All welcome!
Sat. May 6- 9am- Soapmaking with Tara Aultman at Powassan and District Union Public Library. $45 all supplies included.
