Snuggle Up and Read Christmas Literacy event

This year the event attracted over 20 families, who all had the opportunity to sit together during Santa’s story and take a photo with him

Staff, students and family members of Our Lady of Fatima School enjoyed an evening of reading, baked goods and spending quality family time at the school’s annual Snuggle Up and Read Christmas Literacy event.

The evening featured a surprise visit from Santa, who read a Christmas story to the group and gave a brand new book to each child in attendance. Siblings and grandparents were also invited to attend and take part in the festivities.

“This event helps bring together our school community,” says Susan Wardell, Principal at Our Lady of Fatima. “We know family engagement is critical for student success and events like this help to remind us small activities like reading together can make a huge impact on a child’s development.”

This year the event attracted over 20 families, who all had the opportunity to sit together during Santa’s story and take a photo with him.

The Parent Council, the staff of Our Lady of Fatima and some special community helpers (NPSC’s own Joshua Pride) made the event very successful.
