Snowmobiles collide on OFSC trail

Just minor injuries after a pair of snowmobiles collided on a trail near Kirkland Lake Saturday.

Kirkland Lake OPP responded to a collision involving the two motorized snow vehicles on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobiles Club trail A108.

An investigation determined that they were travelling in opposite directions and they collided. One operator, suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital and released.

As a result of the police investigation a 40-year-old man from North Perth, Ontario, has been charged with:  

  • Fail to Share Half Roadway - Meeting Vehicle, contrary to the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act.
