(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop involving a motorized snow vehicle on January 8, 2015.
A snowmobile was travelling on Broadwood Avenue at approximately 11:20 a.m. when it failed to stop at the stop sign.
Through investigation, a 23-year old man faces several charges.
Daniel GAUVREAU of New Liskeard is charged for Possession of Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Disobey stop sign - fail to stop contrary to the Highway Traffic Act, and Fail to produce evidence of insurance contrary to the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on February 15, 2015.
