Six speeders ticketed in school zones

Two drivers were ticketed for speeding on Gormanville Road where the speed limit is 50 km/hr. The highest speed was registered at 75 km per hour.

On Friday September 9th, 2016, as a result of the North Bay Police Service’s ongoing Back to School Traffic Enforcement Campaign, patrol and traffic officers issued six speeding tickets:

  • A driver was ticketed for driving at 64 km per hour in the Community Safety Zone on Marshall Avenue East, while the amber lights were flashing to indicate that the speed limit was reduced to 40 km per hour.
  • A drivers was ticketed for driving at 63 km per hour in the Community Safety Zone on Marshall Avenue East, while the amber lights were flashing to indicate that the speed limit was reduced to 40 km per hour.
  • Two drivers were ticketed for speeding on Gormanville Road where the speed limit is 50 km/hr. The highest speed was registered at 75 km per hour.
  • Two drivers were ticketed for speeding on Algonquin Avenue where the speed limit is 50 km/hr. The highest speed was registered at 75 km per hour.
