Single car accident leads to charges

His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was operating was impounded for seven days.

On March 25, at approximately 7:10 p.m., a member of the Powassan OPP investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 534, Nipissing Township.

Upon further investigation the driver of the vehicle, Larry Owens, 55, Nipissing, was arrested and charged with:

  • Driving While Ability Impaired 
  • Driving with more than the 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood

His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was operating was impounded for seven days.

Owens will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay, on April 19, to answer to his charge.
