The Rotary Club of North Bay has donated $20,000 to purchase equipment at Rotary’s YMCA Camp Tillicum.

“We are forever thankful for the fabulous support we receive from the Rotary Club of North Bay," said Helen Francis, President of the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario. "This investment will allow us to expand the activities available for our children, youth and families who attend YMCA programs at Rotary Camp Tillicum.”

Equipment that will be purchased includes new picnic tables, a volleyball net, hockey sticks, basketballs, ping pong supplies, scoreboard, canoe paddles, pool noodles, buoy lines, boat kits, lifejackets, and more.

It is expected that 231 children will attend camp at Rotary’s YMCA Camp Tillicum this year.

"These funds will provide new equipment that we know will help create a better camping experience for all campers." said Steve Wright, Rotary Club of North Bay President.
