NORTH BAY, ONT. – The Rotaract Club of North Bay-Nipissing will be hosting its annual Lightly Loved Literature Sale on Saturday, August 13th, 2016. A wide selection of lightly used books will be available for sale at the No Frills entrance of the North Bay Mall from 9:00am - 12:00pm. All proceeds from this year’s sale will benefit Packsac Smiles.
Books will be sold at $1 per softcover, $2 per hardcover, or $10 to fill a plastic bag. The Rotaract Club is currently collecting donations of lightly loved books; to donate, please call 705-492-2660 or email [email protected].
Packsac Smiles aims to provide local children with the essentials required for school, trusting that this will assist in increasing the child’s self-esteem as well as create a positive experience towards returning to school each year. Packsac Smiles sponsors children chosen directly by schools based on their knowledge of the child’s needs and situation. A sponsorship of $150 fills a backpack for one local child.
