Jazz Sudbury has partnered with Radisson Sudbury to give you more ways to enjoy the 2016 Jazz Sudbury Festival.  They are now offering a hotel package to take the stress out of travelling from out-of-town. The package will give you a place to rest your head for the weekend and hopes to encourage more people to come and experience Sudbury and the Jazz Sudbury Festival.

“It’s truly a first-class experience available right here in Northern Ontario,” said Marc Gareau, Festival Manager. “Many of our artists also play the international jazz festivals, like Montreal and Vancouver. We are bringing their incredible talents right into your backyard for the chance to see and enjoy them in a more intimate setting”.

This year’s main stage performers include:

  • Canada’s Queen of R&B Soul Jully Black
  • Irresistible 9-piece electrosoul/hip-hop collective Busty and the Bass
  • Canadian Jazz Trumpet icon Mike Malone performing with the local Borealis Quartet and special guest saxophonist and vocalist Elena Kapeleris (of Sweet Loretta)
  • The sassy songs and pinup girl style of Tia Brazda
  • Pop/rock classics done Gypsy Jazz style by The Lost Fingers
  • Canada’s “Goddess of the Blues” Rita Chiarelli and her all-star female bluesy R&B band Sweet Loretta

In addition to main stage activities, children’s and family activities and entertainment will be available for free during the day on Saturday, Sept 10 in Memorial Park.
