RIDE stop uncovers numerous drugs

The investigation led to the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone and over 1,300 pills of Dilaudid.

A random traffic stop by the RIDE program discovered something unexpected... plenty of drugs.

On Saturday at around 1:50 a.m., OPP officers charged a female for drug offences. 

The charges stem from a traffic stop during a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere program on Highway 11 at Frost Street in North Bay.

The investigation led to the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone and over 1,300 pills of Dilaudid.   

The driver, Hillary Robichaud, 30, of Port Colborne, Ontario, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Under 3 kg 
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs 

Robichaud is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on December 13.
