You usually equate the RIDE program with holiday periods, but it does go year round.
OPP say that on July 19, at 12:49 a.m. officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) program on Highway 11/17 at Frost Street in North Bay when a pickup truck approached.
OPP spoke to the male driver and as a result of the investigation Jamie Farquhar 36, of East Ferris Township was charged with "drive a motor vehicle with over 80mgs of alcohol" contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Farquhar is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on August 8.
