Rapport Singers present "Because we sing"

The program will feature a variety of composers from Mozart to present day Christian music writers such as John Purifoy, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Michael W. Smith.

The Rapport Singers of North Bay will be presenting an evening of classical and contemporary songs of Christian worship and praise.

Titled Because We Sing!, the performance will be held at the Calvin Presbyterian Church (401 First Ave. W., North Bay) at 7:30 pm on Saturday, May 7th, 2016.

Adult tickets are $15, student tickets are $10 and admission is free for those 12 years of age and under.

The program will feature a variety of composers from Mozart to present day Christian music writers such as John Purifoy, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Michael W. Smith. For this performance will be welcoming a worship team from Gateway Pentecostal Church as guest musicians. Led by Natalie Cooper, this ensemble will share several of their favourite pieces. Several members of the Calvin Presbyterian Church Choir will also be joining in.

The 20-voice Rapport Singers choir was formed in 1995, and is currently under the artistic direction of Fiona Spack. It is a group of singers dedicated to the highest standards of excellence in choral artistry and music education. The choir’s objective is to promote the public understanding and appreciation of choral music through presentations of a wide variety of choral repertoire. The range is eclectic, from classical and popular to folk and jazz, drawn from the vast history of music and all regions around the globe. Rapport has collaborated with many performing and visual artists, both locally and nationally. -
