Put your hand up if you love butter tarts!

Butter tarts beckon...mmmm!

Believe me, no-one is quicker than BayToday reporters at grabbing a quick couple of butter tarts...maybe with the possible exception of Cogeco's Greg Estabrooks.

That's why we're so excited to hear that the Powassan Library is hosting a butter tart competition with a $50 first prize.

There's another prize if your butter tart uses maple syrup as an ingredient.

Drop off your 1 dozen butter tarts by noon, Friday April 21. Judging is at 4 p.m.

All are welcome.

Other events at the library this month include:

  • Sat. April 15- 10am- Easter Egg Hunt with Brittany Stillar at Powassan and District Union Public Library.  Advance sign up only.
  • Sat. April 15- 10:30am- Saturday Sampler with Kim Boaro from Fibrechick at Powassan and District Union Public Library.  Monthly quilting classes.
  • Mon. April 24- 5pm- League of Canadian Poets at Powassan and District Union Public Library.  Bring your poetry to share.  Light snacks.  All welcome.
