Police get 190 service calls over the weekend.

One person was charged with one count of domestic assault, one count of domestic mischief, two counts of uttering threats and one count of assault with a weapon.

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 190 calls for service and arrested and charged 15 people with the following offences:

  • One person was charged with one count of mischief under $5000 and two counts of assault with a weapon;
  • One person was charged with one count of flight while pursued by police officer under the Criminal Code and issued a part III summons under the Highway Traffic Act for use plates not authorized for vehicle and a part III summons under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act no insurance;
  • One person was charged with one count of domestic assault, one count of domestic mischief, two counts of uttering threats and one count of assault with a weapon;
  • Three people were charged with public intoxication under the Liquor Licence Act;
  • One person was charged with two counts of theft under $5000 (shoplifting) and four counts of breach of probation;
  • One person was charged with three counts of theft under $5000 (shoplifting) and one count of breach of probation;
  • Three people were charged with theft under $5000 (shoplifting);
  • One person was charged with domestic assault and domestic mischief under $5000;
  • Two people were charged with domestic assault; and
  • One person was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and refuse to provide breath sample.
