Police arrest 15 over the weekend

One person was charged with one count of possessing counterfeit money, three counts of uttering counterfeit money, one count of possession of marijuana, one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation.

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 256 calls for service and arrested and charged 15 people with the following offences:

  • One person was charged with one count of possessing counterfeit money, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000;
  • One person was charged with one count of possessing counterfeit money, three counts of uttering counterfeit money, one count of possession of marijuana, one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and one count of breach of probation;
  • One person was charged with two counts of uttering counterfeit money, one count of possession of counterfeit money, one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, one count of carry concealed weapon and one count of possession of marijuana;
  • One person was charged with one count of possession of counterfeit money, one count of carry concealed weapon, one count of possession of marijuana, one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one count of possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose;
  • One person was charged with one count of drive while under suspension and two counts of breach of officer in charge undertaking;
  • One person was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, one count of possession of cocaine, one count of possession of morphine, and one count of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition;
  • One person was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana and methamphetamine), one count of possession of Percocet, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of breach of probation.
  • One person was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine pills;
  • One person was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of Percocet;
  • One person was charged with theft under $5000;
  • A young person was charged with one count of assault with a weapon, one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of resist police officer following a family dispute;
  • One person was charged with one count of fraud under $5,000 and one count of use forged document; and
  • Three persons were charged with public intoxication.
