Police arrest 14 over the long weekend

One person was charged with one count of domestic assault, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of forcible confinement; and one count of utter threats to cause death or bodily harm.

Over Labour Day weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 302 calls for service and arrested and charged 14 people with the following offences:

  • One person was charged with one count of assault police officer, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon, and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking;
  • One person was charged with one count of domestic assault, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of forcible confinement; and one count of utter threats to cause death or bodily harm;
  • One person was charged with one count of assault;
  • One person was charged with one count of criminal harassment;
  • Two people were charged with one count of mischief under $5000;
  • Five people were charged with public intoxication;
  • One person was charged with one count of possession of marijuana and two counts of breach of Office in Charge undertaking;
  • One person was charged with one count of domestic mischief and two counts of breach of probation; and
  • One person was charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg of alcohol in blood.
