Phone damaged in domestic dispute

In the early morning hours yesterday, North Bay Police responded to a domestic call on Cassells Street.  

A man and his female partner got into an argument which became heated and escalated to a point where the accused took the victim’s phone and damaged it by throwing it to the ground. The victim was able to contact the police.

During the investigation, it was revealed that this same behavior had occurred back in April.

As a result of the investigation police have charged a 27-year-old man from Guelph with;

  • Two counts of Mischief Under $5,000

The accused will appear in the North Bay Courthouse for a bail hearing in relation to the charges.
