As of next Wednesday, August 1, the Para Bus service for individuals with disabilities in the city will no longer be operated by the Physically Handicapped Adults’ Rehabilitation Association (P.H.A.R.A.), but that doesn't mean service will be lost.

"Despite the change in service provider, the City of North Bay will continue to support the delivery of the Para-Bus Service during the transition to a new service provider which is anticipated to be in place in the near future," says a city news release.

"Those eligible to use the North Bay Para-Bus Service can continue to follow the current practice for questions and bookings. Para-Bus users can continue to contact the Dispatch Office from Monday to Friday between 7 a.m and 5 p.m. at the following numbers.

Telephone:    (705) 476-5530
