OPP looking for suspect in outboard motor and tools theft, lay trafficking charges

Numerous tools, an air compressor and an Evinrude 9.9 hp outboard motor were stolen.

On November 6, 2016, a report of a break, enter and theft was received by members of the Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).  

The break-in happened on Sunday, November 6, 2016, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The suspect(s) entered a shed on a property in the 9000 block of Highway 17, Calvin Township, and stole numerous tools, an air compressor and an Evinrude 9.9 hp outboard motor.

The North Bay OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

(HUNTSVILLE, ON)    As a result of an ongoing investigation by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huntsville Street Crime Unit, Almaguin Highlands Crime Unit and North East Region Investigations and Crime prevention Bureau; a Huntsville man has been arrested for drug related charges.

 Police attended a residence on Elm Street in the Town of Huntsville on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, and executed a warrant.

Stephen KAHLER 64yrs of Huntsville Ontario was arrested and charged with 2 counts of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act and one count of Fraud under the Criminal Code of Canada.  The accused was held in custody and is to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Monday, November 14, 2016, in relation to the charges.
