On January 18, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Kirkland Lake OPP officers tried to stop a snowmobiler in Kirkland Lake. The sledder failed to stop for police and fled the area.
It was located a short while later and in an attempt to stop it, a roadblock was set up. The operator of the sled attempted to maneuver around a parked, unoccupied cruiser, however, the snowmobile collided with it and the rider fled the scene again.
