(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 124 in MacDougal Township.

On October 16, 2014 at approximately 4:41 p.m. a blue Jeep travelling on Highway 124 drove off the road and rolled on its side in the ditch. The lone occupant, the driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries. Further investigation revealed a strong odour of alcohol coming from the driver.

The driver, Doris CAMPBELL, 56 years of age from Sundridge was arrested and has been charged with:

  1. Driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol) contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
  1. Driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood contrary to the (CC)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on November 6, 2014.
