One Bag Challenge helps the hungry

'We all know that there are many in our community struggling with food insecurity'
Salvation Army thanks everyone who helped deliver Christmas to less fortunate.

The Salvation Army has launched its fall food campaign called One Bag Challenge.

"It is a great and fun way to have multiple people involved in giving one bag of groceries to help restock our shelves.," says Major Stephanie Watkinson, Pastor.

It works like this. Buy a bag of groceries (list provided of needed items) then. snap a picture of yourself and post on social media (tag us, please) and then challenge three of your friends, family and coworkers to do the same.

Donations can be dropped off at 134 McIntryre St. East, North Bay.

"This is a great team activity as well," adds Watkinson. "We all know that there are many in our community struggling with food insecurity. We are asking that the community come together to help us help those families and individuals that may not have enough food in their homes. "
