Northern Ontario Film Studios has committed $25,000 to the YMCA Fill the Bus Campaign in North Bay. Fill the Bus is a fundraising campaign that helps local kids experience camp.
Funds raised through the YMCA Fill the Bus Campaign not only help cover the cost of registration but also help purchase supplies like running shoes and sleeping bags and re-investing into camp equipment and upgrades.
“Camp offers the opportunity for children to develop so many life skills and a sense of independence in a safe and inclusive environment. This generous donation from Northern Ontario Film Studios will allow over 90 children to access this opportunity!” said Helen Francis, President for the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario.
The grand total will be announced during the second intermission at the Battalion’s YMCA Fill the Bus Charity Night, presented by Northern Ontario Film Studios Thursday evening.
“The future success of our community is dependent on the positive growth of our youth. Camp Tillicum is a great place for kids to develop important skills while also having fun and building friendships.
I am so proud that Northern Ontario Film Studios can be a part of this wonderful program.” Said David Anselmo, President of Northern Ontario Film Studios.
