North Bay Transit expecting service delays during Nipissing University Strike

North Bay Transit will respect picket lines.

North Bay Transit will continue to provide service along College Drive to the Education Centre during the Nipissing University Faculty strike.

North Bay Transit will respect picket lines while they are in effect and therefore will not access the Education Centre Property during the periods they are in effect.

To minimize the impact on transit service users while picket lines are in effect, North Bay Transit has adjusted both College/University Routes to remain on College Drive adding temporary bus stops at the North and South Entrances of the Education Center.

When there are no picket lines, the College/University Routes will not be altered and will access the Education Centre property providing regular service to all of its bus stops.

While picket lines are in effect, North Bay Transit is expecting delays but is not expecting route cancellations at this time.

Other routes that could be affected with nominal delays during the strike are the Marshall and Ski Club Routes as a result of linkages to the College/University Routes.

North Bay Transit will monitor the work stoppage and provide its passengers with any changes to its service through its website and service announcements as necessary.
