The North Bay and District Humane Society is set to host its second annual charity bonspiel, Curling for Kibble, on Saturday, January 20 at the North Bay Granite Club.

Launched in 2023, Curling for Kibble is an annual event that aims to raise $10,000 to offset the cost of the nearly 20,000 lbs of food and 25,000 lbs of litter the shelter and its pet food bank use every year. The one-day tournament offers curlers of all skill levels two four-end games, meals and snacks, entertainment by Super Fun Time Trivia and a skills competition for $65 per person or $260 per team.

“Curling for Kibble helps to feed hundreds of vulnerable and unwanted companion animals,” says Liam Cullin, Executive Director of the North Bay Humane Society. “The demand for services at our shelter and pet food bank remains high, so fundraisers like our charity bonspiel help to ensure we can help as many animals as possible.”

Registration for Curling for Kibble is now open at www.nbdhs.ca/curling.
