The Near North District School Board has advised students attending Mattawa District Public School and F.J. McElligott Secondary School that the schools are closed today due to a lack of water.

Board officials say it is unknown at this time when the water will be restored to the schools.

Social media reports indicate that the town crews are working to repair the problem.
