Nine people arrested over the weekend

Including driving while under suspension (remedial and unpaid fines), permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle, operate motor vehicle (no insurance) and drive motor vehicle (no permit);

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 221 calls for service and arrested and charged nine people with the following offences:

  • One person was charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of breach of probation;
  • One person was charged with one count of criminal harassment;
  • One person was charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of fail or refuse to provide sample and one count of breach of Officer in Charge undertaking, all under the Criminal Code; and issued Provincial Offences Part III summons for driving while under suspension (remedial and unpaid fines), permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle, operate motor vehicle (no insurance) and drive motor vehicle (no permit);
  • Two people were charged with public intoxication;
  • One person was charged with one count of theft of motor vehicle;
  • One person was charged with one count of assault and one count of uttering threats;
  • One person was charged with one count of trespass by night and one count of theft under $5,000; and
  • One person was charged with one count of breach of recognizance.
