The North Bay Downtown Improvement Area has a new Board of Management for the 2019 – 2022 term. 

The following were acclaimed to represent the general membership.

The North Bay Downtown Improvement Area was created in 1977.

The Mission Statement "To preserve and develop the heart of North Bay." was adopted by the DIA in 1995 and remains its primary objective. 

"The DIA concentrates on tourism, business retention and expansion, and promotions," says a news release. "Festivals and special events are held at various times throughout the year in an effort to increase traffic levels, enhance the profile of the Downtown and strengthen investor confidence in the Downtown core."

The 30th Old Fashioned Christmas Walk, sponsored by the DIA takes place Friday, November 30, 6 p.m. until 9. 

Outgoing board members include Bob Alger, Peter Hobbs, Barry Klus, Geoff Richardson and Thor von Estorff.
